Procedural: Cross-Examination
Defense verdict for defendant police officers in excessive force suit overturned on appeal because officers' attorney "dramatically" dropped lengthy computer printout in front of jury while cross-examining plaintiff/arrestee about prior criminal convictions; attorney's actions were so prejudicial that a new trial was required Sanders-El v. Wencewicz, 987 F.2d 483 (8th Cir. 1993).
