Confidentiality: Informants

     U.S. government not entitled to a presumption that all persons supplying information to FBI during a criminal investigation are "confidential sources" entitled to exemption from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act U.S. Dept of Justice v. Landano, 113 S.Ct. 2014 (1993).
     Oregon Supreme Court upholds dismissal of lawsuit for emotional distress from breach of confidentiality agreement with murder informant resulting in disclosure of her name to suspect Keltner v. Washington County, 310 Or 499, 800 P.2d 752 (1990).
     Child who provided information to police which led to arrest of murder suspect could not sue for breach of confidentiality agreement resulting in disclosure of her name to suspect Keltner v. Washington County, 784 P.2d 127 (Or App. 1989).
