Why AELE chooses Las Vegas
for most of its educational programs.
1.
AELE has sponsored seminars in 13 other locations including New England,
the South, South-East, and Midwestern cities. We have experienced
significantly lower attendance in those places. Selecting other cities
would require us to raise our tuition, and we would educate less people.
2. Air fares and hotel rooms are very competitive
in Las Vegas. Most airlines do not require a Saturday night
stay to qualify for an affordable economy fare. Cross-country flights
to Las Vegas are often less expensive than short flights to nearby cities.
3. Las Vegas hoteliers are professional in
every sense of the word. Hotel meeting and luncheon facilities are
set up and supervised by highly experienced personnel.
4. Although McCarran International is the
seventh busiest airport in the U.S., it is modern, efficient, and hassle-free.
Flights are almost never delayed because of local weather or air
traffic conditions.
5. Las Vegas visitors can always find something
entertaining and inexpensive to do in the evenings, especially if casino
gambling is of no interest to them. The "Strip" hotels are famous
for their extravagant architecture. Examples include the Bellagio
with its lake and fountains; Caesar's Forum with an indoor Piazza; the
Mirage with an exploding volcano; Paris has a replica Eiffel Tower; and
the Venetian boasts a canal and a simulated ducal palace.
6. The city's many restaurants offer a wide
variety of cuisine, from an informal buffet to French and Italian dining
prepared by renowned chefs.
7. Effective in 2005, all AELE seminars in Las Vegas will be held at the Alexis Resort and Villas Hotel, where every guest has a multiroom suite, and high-speed Internet access.
